OK. I was in Costa Rica last week. AND there is already a blog about it....but not from my point of view.
I spent 10 days on a missions trip with
23 amazing women
who worked circles around me.
I am still spinning.
I am still spinning.
And it is from this spinning perspective......
that I plan to write my account .
that I plan to write my account .
of our journey to Cincel in San Jose, Costa Rica..
First, a few answers to questions I'm sure this will raise.
Yes, I am glad we went. Yes, I am proud of what we accomplished.

Yes I would do it all over again.
However,I do not think the blog by Ericka, although factual and well done ,
begins to cover the real story.
Honestly, The trip was not what I expected.

I did know we were coming to work, to help refurbish some living quarters....Let me just say that we did so much more than I thought we would or could.
Without accusing anyone individually, I would like to propose that some sort of overwhelming synergy began to grow from within the hearts of our well intentioned team. It was like a "clean house, trading spaces or a TLC network homecoming winner takes all contest" all rolled into one event! It turned out to be wonderful. However during the first few days I began to almost regret my decision to join up. And although I know they appreciated the outcome, I do not think Freddy ,Paula , Theresa, Bob, Nancy ,Jim, or Rudy would like to see us anytime soon. God bless them for assisting us ,cooking for us, replacing drill bits and whatever we needed, all the while continuing their normal duties. There are just a few words I want to add to make my point....

hearing Cher say"wouldn't it be great if we could....?"
But , seeing the beauty of God's masterpiece waterfalls at La Paz when we were finished truly helped me overcome any doubt that I had made the right choice to tag along.
God truly was glorified and I am rethinking my own work ethic as I recoup and reflect on this
wonderful adventure!
